Welcome to Sentinel Voter ID Scanner. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Sentinel Voter ID Scanner is designed as a privacy-first utility. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal identification information (PII) to our servers. All data extraction from your Voter ID card is processed locally on your device using on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit).

2. Use of Permissions

Our app requires specific permissions to function correctly:

• Camera: Used exclusively to scan the barcode or text on your Voter ID card. No photos or videos are recorded, saved, or uploaded.
• Internet Access: Used to connect to the official electoral search portal (ECI) for verification and to serve advertisements.

3. Third-Party Services (Advertising)

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements in the app. AdMob may collect and use your Advertising ID and other device identifiers to provide personalized ads and analytics. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's Advertising Policies.

4. Data Security

Because we do not store your personal data on any external servers, there is no risk of your voter information being breached from our infrastructure. Any PDF files you generate are stored locally in your device's Downloads folder.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon being posted on this page.
